A historic rolling mill worker who caught folded metal sheets and passed them back.

A laborer in early sheet metal rolling mills stationed on the exit side of the roll stand. Their job was to catch the hot metal sheets as they emerged from the rolls, take them from the doubler, and pass them back over the top of the stand to the rollerman for another pass. The role required immense stamina and heat tolerance.

The behinder missed the catch on that last pass and the sheet went straight into the dirt.
