Strap

A flat, narrow band of metal or flexible material used to bind, secure, or connect components.

A fastening or connecting element made from a strip of material. In heavy machinery, metal straps are often used to secure tanks, clamp pipes to bulkheads, or reinforce joints against tensile loads.
