Applied after floating or a light troweling, the broom is pulled across the slab in straight, slightly overlapping passes, perpendicular to foot or vehicle traffic. Bristle stiffness and timing set the texture, from a light broom on sidewalks to a heavy broom on steep ramps. It is the standard finish on driveways, sidewalks, exterior stairs and any pavement that will be wet.
Light broom finish on the sidewalk, heavy on the ramp, and pull every stroke the same way or the owner will notice.
