A sloped trough or tube used to slide materials, debris, or concrete down from a higher elevation.

A temporary or permanent gravity-fed channel used to move bulk materials safely. On construction sites, temporary plastic debris chutes are strapped to scaffolding to dump trash directly into a dumpster below. Concrete trucks also use folding metal chutes to direct the wet mix exactly where the crew needs it.
