A non-destructive survey used to locate trapped water within a roof assembly or wall system.

An inspection technique that uses specialized equipment to map out wet insulation or trapped water without cutting into the membrane. Technicians sweep the surface using infrared thermography, capacitance meters, or nuclear gauges to find anomalies. The results are marked directly on the roof to identify areas requiring tear-off or further core sampling.
