Hot mopping uses a kettle of melted asphalt and a mop to lay down alternating plies of felt and asphalt, as in built-up roofs and hot-mopped shower pans. In Southern California the hot-mop pan is a common shower waterproofing, installed by specialty hot moppers before the tile setters arrive. The method is fast and forgiving but brings fumes, burn risk and hot-work permits.
Shower pans on four are hot mop, the mopper comes Thursday, so get the curbs framed.
