Low-viscosity epoxy, phenolic, silicone, methacrylate or wax that wicks into open pores and cures to block paths for liquids and gases through the coating. It is applied after spraying, before or after finishing depending on the system, and is standard on ceramic wear coatings and on TSA and zinc for corrosion. Sealer temperature limits often decide the coating's maximum service temperature.
Brush the sealer on while the part's still warm, it wicks in deeper, then cure before you grind.
