Personal Digital Cellular is a legacy second-generation mobile network technology that operated in the 800 MHz and 1500 MHz bands. It utilized Time Division Multiple Access to support voice and low-speed data. Because it was never adopted outside Japan, it created a unique ecosystem of handsets and services before being entirely replaced by global 3G standards.
