Pelt

nounShop talkShop Slang

A customer who consumes a salesperson's time with no intention of buying.

A time-wasting prospect who talks to sales staff, tests equipment, or asks endless questions without ever planning to make a purchase. They tie up commissioned workers and prevent them from engaging with actual buyers. The name implies they are just an empty shell or skin rather than a real customer.
