A castable formulated with carefully controlled particle sizing and dispersants so it flows into place and de-airs without vibrators, used where anchors are dense, forms are complex or vibrating is impossible. Flow is checked on site with a cone on a flow table, measuring how far the mix spreads without tapping. Self-flow mixes are sensitive to water, temperature and mixing time, so they reward tight installation control.
Use the self-flow castable around the burner tile, you'll never get a stinger in there.
Self-flow mixes lose flow quickly in hot weather. Use cool water and mix smaller batches in summer.
