A boiler unit on a diesel locomotive used to heat older passenger cars.

An automated, oil-fired boiler installed inside a diesel locomotive or a specialized heater car. It produces high-pressure steam that is piped back through the train to provide heating and hot water for older passenger equipment designed during the steam era.
