A standard passenger car equipped with seats rather than sleeping berths.

A conventional passenger railcar designed for daytime travel, fitted with rows of seats for revenue passengers. Unlike sleeping cars or roomettes used on long-haul overnight routes, daycoaches maximize capacity and offer basic amenities for trips lasting only a few hours.
