A railcar specifically designed and equipped to carry people.

Any piece of rolling stock built to transport people rather than freight. These cars are equipped with climate control, seating or sleeping accommodations, lighting, and specialized suspension systems to provide a smooth ride at high speeds. They also require a head-end power connection to the locomotive to run their onboard electrical systems.
