A passenger train vehicle dedicated to carrying checked luggage, express freight, and company mail.

These cars feature wide side doors for loading large items and lack standard passenger seating or windows. They are typically positioned at the front of a passenger consist, directly behind the locomotives. Beyond passenger luggage, they historically carried high-priority express shipments, theatrical equipment, and sealed mail pouches.
