A heavy barrier at the end of a track designed to stop rolling equipment.

A structural barrier installed at the physical end of a stub track or siding to prevent vehicles from rolling off the rails. They range from simple mounds of dirt or bolted timbers to massive hydraulic or friction-damped steel structures designed to absorb the kinetic energy of a moving train without destroying the equipment.
