A book size created by folding a printed sheet twice to form four leaves.

A traditional book format where a single large sheet of paper is folded in half and then in half again, yielding four leaves or eight pages. The resulting book is nearly square and relatively large, making it a classic format for encyclopedias, art books, and early printed plays.
