A planographic printing method where an artist paints or rolls ink directly onto a smooth, unetched plate made of metal, glass, or acrylic. The plate is then passed through a press with a sheet of paper to transfer the wet image. Because the plate has no permanent features to hold ink, the process yields exactly one strong print, with any subsequent pulls being faint ghosts.
