This specialized equipment merges a previously printed roll or folded section into a live production stream in perfect register. Web offset plants use it to insert high-quality glossy color advertisements into standard newsprint runs. It relies on electronic eyes reading printed marks to adjust the tension and speed, ensuring the inserted pages align exactly with the folding and cutting cylinders.
