Wadding is usually a lightly bonded polyester highloft, though cotton and wool versions exist for upholstery and quilting. It is sold by weight and thickness for garment interlinings, quilts, duvets, mattresses and furniture. In North America the same product is usually called batting or fiberfill.
Wadding for the duvet maker is 150 gram, resin bonded, and they want it in 2.4 meter widths.
