The backsheet keeps liquid in while letting vapor out, so most are microporous polyethylene film glued to a light spunbond for a cloth-like outside. Breathability is measured as water vapor transmission rate, and the nonwoven side is judged on softness, print and peel strength to the film. Delamination and pinholes in the film are the classic failures.
Backsheet is peeling apart at the leg cut-out, so raise the glue add-on on the laminator.
