An enclosure holding rows of adapters, either on plates or inside snap-in cassettes, with the installed cable terminated on the back and jumpers plugged into the front. It separates the permanent cable plant from the moves and changes in front of it and protects splices and slack in trays behind the bulkheads. Telco crews often call it an LIU or fiber distribution panel.
Land the new 48 on the second panel, ports one through forty-eight, and print the port map on the door.
