Subscriber Connector, a snap-in connector with a square plastic body and 2.5 mm ferrule that mates with a push and releases with a pull on the outer housing. It is the workhorse of carrier and FTTH plant, where green SC/APC is the usual connector on PON splitters, terminals and ONTs. Installers sometimes call it square connector or stick and click.
ONT takes a green SC/APC, so don't hand me a blue SC patch cord for that house.
