A handheld cleaner with a tip that fits into an adapter or over a connector; pushing the body advances and rotates a strand of lint-free cleaning tape against the end face with an audible click. It cleans both loose connectors and the inaccessible side of a bulkhead, and a cartridge lasts several hundred cleans. Separate tips are needed for 1.25 mm, 2.5 mm and MPO ferrules.
Scope shows dust on the core, hit it twice with the click cleaner and scope it again.
