Any plant in the genus Oxalis, commonly known as wood sorrels or false shamrocks. They feature distinctive divided leaves that fold up at night and produce small, five-petaled flowers. While many are grown as ornamental houseplants or garden perennials, several aggressive species are considered stubborn agricultural weeds due to their persistent bulbils and creeping root systems.
