A window detector uses two comparators to monitor an analog voltage against an upper and a lower reference limit. If the input voltage is between these two thresholds (inside the window), the circuit outputs a logic high. If the voltage drops below the lower limit or rises above the upper limit, the output drops low, making it ideal for overvoltage and undervoltage protection circuits.

We need a window detector on the power rail to assert the reset line if the 5V supply drifts by more than 10 percent.
