A reduced-size MultiMediaCard is a legacy non-volatile storage standard that packs the same interface as a standard MMC into a physical footprint roughly half the size. Users often snapped them into a mechanical extender to fit standard MMC or SD card slots. They were quickly superseded by the microSD format in the mobile phone market.
