A mechanical switch operated by turning a central shaft to connect a common terminal to one of several output contacts.

An electromechanical switch that selects between multiple electrical paths by rotating a central spindle. The spindle turns a wiper assembly that makes contact with a circular array of stationary terminals. They are commonly used for selecting modes on multimeters, radio bands, or multi-position fan speeds.
