A submittal is a collection of shop drawings, material data sheets, cut sheets, or physical samples provided by the contractor to the design team. It proves that the specific materials and equipment intended for the site match the contract specifications. The design professionals review and stamp them before any ordering or installation begins.
Make sure we get the HVAC submittals approved by Friday so we can order the rooftop units.
A rejected submittal can derail the entire project schedule, so experienced project engineers double-check them against the spec book before sending them up the chain.
