A concrete floor system built in two layers with a waterproofing membrane sandwiched between them.

A construction assembly consisting of a structural base slab, a continuous waterproofing membrane and drainage layer, and a concrete topping slab poured over the top. This design is heavily used in parking garages, plazas, and elevated decks to protect the primary structural reinforcement from water and de-icing salts.
