A traditional brickwork bond where each course consists of alternating long sides and short ends of the bricks. The headers in each course are centered directly over the stretchers in the course below, creating a strong, decorative wall with a distinct cross-shaped visual pattern.
The historic review board requires the new addition to be laid in a Flemish bond to match the original brickwork facade.
