Thin

adjectiveShop talkAviation

Describing an airline route with low passenger demand or infrequent service.

A thin route is a commercial flight path that generates relatively little passenger traffic. Airlines often serve these markets with smaller regional aircraft or reduced frequencies to maintain profitability. These routes frequently connect smaller cities to major hubs rather than linking two major destinations directly.
