Cabré

adjectiveStandard termAviation

Describes an aircraft flying with a high pitch attitude, nose up and tail down.

A flight profile where the longitudinal axis is pitched steeply upward relative to the horizon. It is often seen during a short-field takeoff, a maximum performance climb, or right before an aerodynamic stall. Maintaining this attitude requires high engine power to overcome the immense drag generated by presenting the belly of the aircraft to the relative wind.
