Window lock

nounStandard termAutomotive

A driver-controlled electrical switch that disables the power window controls on the passenger doors.

A safety circuit integrated into the master switch panel on the driver side door. When activated, it cuts the control signal or power feed to the individual window switches in the rear and passenger doors. This prevents young children or pets from accidentally opening the windows while the vehicle is in motion.
