A charging point is a physical station equipped with the necessary electrical hardware, safety interlocks, and software protocols to safely recharge an electric vehicle battery. It ranges from a simple Level 2 AC wall box in a residential garage to a high-voltage DC fast-charging pedestal on a highway network. These units communicate with the vehicle's onboard charger to regulate voltage and current flow.
The new layout includes two DC fast chargers and four Level 2 AC charging points near the service bays.
