A technique used when adhering insulation boards, cover boards, or membrane sheets to a substrate. The crew places the material upside down next to its final spot, applies hot asphalt or cold adhesive to the back, and then flips it over into position. This method is often used in tight spaces or when working around complex penetrations where spreading adhesive directly on the deck is difficult.

You can't run the spreader in that corner, so just mop-and-flop the last few insulation boards.
