A nanogram is one billionth of a gram, used to measure trace amounts of mass.

A nanogram (ng) is an SI submultiple of the gram, equal to 10⁻⁹ grams. It is heavily used in analytical chemistry, pharmacology, and environmental testing to quantify trace elements, drug concentrations in blood, or airborne particulates.
