MB stands for make bobble, a technique where a knitter increases multiple stitches into a single stitch, works back and forth over just those stitches for a few rows, and then decreases them back to a single stitch. This forces the fabric to bunch outward, creating a distinct, three-dimensional bump on the right side of the work. It is common in Aran and textured knitting patterns.
