The complete set of user equipment required to communicate with a cellular network.

A mobile station comprises the physical mobile device and its associated subscriber identity module. In GSM and early cellular architectures, it represents the terminal endpoint that negotiates a radio link with the base station subsystem. It handles radio frequency processing, baseband modulation, and user interface functions to establish voice and data sessions.
