An interconnection between waveguides, cables, or circuit traces where the total energy entering exactly equals the total energy exiting. In radio frequency engineering, true lossless junctions are purely theoretical models used for mathematical calculations. In practice, engineers design junctions to approach this ideal by minimizing impedance mismatches and resistive losses.
The simulator assumes a lossless junction at the splitter, but in the real world we'll lose at least 3 dB.
