A facility where loaded freight cars are emptied by physically tilting or turning them.

A specialized structure used primarily in coal and ore operations to unload bulk materials from open-top railcars. The mechanism locks the car in place and rotates it on its longitudinal axis to dump the contents into a bin or conveyor below. The term also refers to the entire loading and unloading building at a mine.
