Rule G is the letter the standard rulebook gives the ban on intoxicants, and railroaders use the name for any alcohol or drug violation even where their own rulebook numbers it differently, such as GCOR rule 1.5. A Rule G violation means removal from service, testing and likely dismissal, backed by federal post-accident and random drug and alcohol testing. Saying someone got Rule G'd tells a crew room the whole story.
He got pulled out of service for Rule G after the incident in the yard, and he's done for good this time.
