nounStandard termPrinting

A historic type size measuring two and a half points.

An extremely small, historic type size measuring 2.5 points. It sits between Saxon and excelsior in the traditional sizing scale. Because it is so small, it is rarely used for standard reading material and was reserved for specialized miniature printing.
