A contact-printing method that uses paper coated with light-sensitive diazo dyes. When exposed to ultraviolet light through a translucent master and developed with ammonia vapor, it creates a positive image. It was historically the standard process for reproducing architectural plans, engineering drawings, and prepress proofs before digital wide-format printing took over.
