Doubleweight

adjectiveStandard termPrinting

A paper stock manufactured to be twice as thick and heavy as standard weights.

Doubleweight refers to photographic or printing paper that is twice the thickness of standard single-weight stock. In printing, it provides a rigid, durable substrate ideal for covers, postcards, and high-end display prints. The extra thickness prevents curling and stands up better to heavy ink coverage without bleeding through.
