32mo

nounStandard termPrinting

A miniature book format produced by folding a printed sheet into thirty-two leaves.

This format creates 64 pages per signature, resulting in a very small book roughly three by five inches in size. The sheet is folded in half five times, which requires thin paper to prevent the spine fold from becoming too bulky or cracking. It is typically reserved for miniature books, pocket dictionaries, and novelty items.

Heard on the job

You'll need a lightweight bible paper if you plan to fold a 32mo without severe buckling at the spine.
