Bring-up is the work of getting a new board running: inspecting the assembly, checking rails for shorts, smoke testing, verifying each power rail and its sequencing, then bringing up clocks, processors, memory and interfaces one at a time. Problems are fixed with rework and blue wires and logged for the next spin. Bring-up schedules run long, and boards designed with test points and jumpers make it far easier.
Bring-up on the new controller board starts Monday, have the power section stuffed and the JTAG cable ready.
