The formal record issued after a calibration, listing the item, the measured values or errors at each test point, the expanded uncertainty with its coverage factor, the environmental conditions, the standards used and a traceability statement. An accredited certificate carries the accreditation mark and is the evidence an auditor asks for when checking that a gauge was fit for use. Any statement of conformity on it must also name the decision rule applied.
