The aerodynamic or hydrodynamic profile attached to a turbine disk that extracts energy from a moving fluid. In steam and gas turbines, buckets redirect high-velocity, high-temperature gases to rotate the shaft. They are subjected to extreme centrifugal forces and thermal creep, requiring advanced superalloys and internal cooling channels.
