A conical shank or socket used to align and secure machine tools.

A precise conical profile used on tool holders and machine spindles to lock them together concentrically. The wedging action provides high holding force and extreme repeatability, allowing operators to swap heavy milling cutters or drill chucks while maintaining dead-center alignment.
