Aerobatics

nounStandard termAviation

Intentional flight maneuvers involving extreme attitudes, spins, or loops.

The practice of flying an aircraft through extreme pitch and roll attitudes that fall far outside normal transport operations. Pilots perform these maneuvers for training, airshows, or competition. The aircraft must be specifically certified for these loads, as the G-forces can easily exceed the structural limits of standard utility or transport category airframes.

The structural inspection is due early because the owner has been pulling heavy Gs doing aerobatics every weekend.
